Finalmente se anunciaron los nominados que compiten en las 24 categorías de los Premios Oscar, en su edición número 87, que se celebrará el 22 de febrero en el Dolby Theatre de Los Angeles. Este año, Neil Patrick Harris hará su debut como presentador en la gala producida por Craig Zadan y Neil Meron.
Mientras Argentina festeja las nominaciones de Relatos Salvajes, en el rubro Mejor Película Extranjera, y de Armando Bo y Nicolás Giacobone, en Mejor Guión Original por el film Birdman, en Hollywood la elite del cine palpita lo que será una noche mágica.
J.J. Abrams, Alfonso Cuarón, Chris Pine y la presidente de la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas, Cheryl Boone, fueron los encargados de anunciar a quienes serán los protagonistas de los Oscar.
